Hello! My name is Jocelyn Franklin, I am the Executive Director of Open My World Therapeutic Riding Center, a 501©3 nonprofit organization in Leander. Since 2008, our Equine Assisted Services have been improving the lives of children, adults and seniors living with disabilities and mental health challenges. Over the last 15 years, our specially trained and certified instructors have conducted over 33,000 life changing sessions for over 750 participants and we keep growing! Beyond our services, we are proud to offer a safe and welcoming space to everyone, where they can experience the healing presence of horses, and the transformative power of inclusion. Our Happy Place is Your Happy Place.
Donations and sponsorships enable us to care for our incredible herd of horses, provide rider scholarships and low-cost services, fund our mini horse visits to hospice and memory care centers and contribute to the overall success of our organization.
