Before I came to work at Open My World, I worked as a rodeo horse along with my best friend, Cookie. We came together and began to work as therapy horses in 2017, donated by Don Imaus (famous radio personality) and his son Wyatt (champion calf-roper). We are still best friends and frequently hang out together in the pasture.

I love my job at Open My World–especially when I get to carry some of the riders that are learning to ride independently. It is so exciting when they learn to tell me what they want to do by using their reins, their legs, and even the direction they are looking to tell me where they want to go and how fast they want to get there! I LOVE going fast, but I’m always careful to try to do what my rider wants.
Like all horses, I love to eat, especially treats. I have developed a condition that means I’m not allowed to eat much sugar, which is too bad. But, the nice folks at Open My World buy a special feed just for me that is low in carbohydrates. And, they even buy special treats that are okay for me to have. I get those as a nice reward after I work. Isn’t that awesome?

“Well, we play games like the flower game and the Sneak-Up game. We trot all the time and Sammie is nice. I like riding her. My favorite thing is we get to trot and we tell jokes. Sammie and I are best friends!”
