Before I came to work at Open My World, I was a retired polo pony. I was trained in Argentina with my buddy Candela, then moved to Texas to play polo in Houston. After we retired from the game, our nice owner decided to let us come to Open My World so that we could start the best job we ever had: working as therapy horses for some wonderful people who both love us and need us. It’s awesome!
One thing you might notice about me is that my left eye looks a little smaller than my right eye. That is because I had glaucoma and so I lost my sight in that eye. But don’t worry, I’ve learned to live with my disability and now I often forget that I am blind in that eye. It took some time to adjust, but I guess it makes me even more excited about helping clients with a disability. I want to show them that they can learn ways to soar and to live very happy and full lives. They can even help others to do the same.
I have only been with Open My World since 2021, but I think I’ve found my best and my forever home right here!
